DIY your own E-Juice, Save money, Recipe at the bottom

With pending FDA regulations, it is the time to start looking into making your own e-juice. I will throw some tips in this article on how to DIY your e-juice and come out with something not just okay, not just good but pretty amazing.

Step one, research. Look around for e-juice calculators and NEVER measure nicotine in drops.
Always keep out of reach of children, pets and anyone or anything else it could harm.

Step 2. Safety. Use gloves, Do not mix breaking bad style in your tighty whiteys (LOL). You still want to make sure your area is clean because you do want that PURE flavor.

Step 3. What you will need, YOU WILL NEED PG!!! The only time you will not need PG is if you are using a flavor concentrate that has ZERO pg in it. PG will boost the flavor of your juice, the PG in nicotine and flavoring is not enough to boost your flavor. You could be flavoring at 25% and using all VG but still not achieve a great taste. PG is a bit more expensive than VG. You will not use a lot of PG do not order a lot of PG.

Step 4. For best results use VG based nicotine. Vg based nicotine covers the flavor of nicotine.

Step 5. Steeping is important. You may make a flavor and not like it to begin with, write it down and set it away in a cool dark place for a week to 2 weeks and come back to it. A lot of amazing e-juice truly takes time to steep. Some juices are great right off the bat but have you ever got juice and had it sit and the flavor go away, that is because the person who made it did not take the time to steep the product and see if the flavor would get better or die off as it sat, they though this tastes great lets sell it.


So how do you make a flavor get better over time?  Add PG and use quality flavoring. You can still make a max VG juice by adding pg and more times than not you can have a higher VG juice with more flavor because you added less flavoring but added PG to boost the flavor.

Juices with diacetyls will be a bit harsh. A way to kill that down is again, let it steep. I am not a fan of diacetyls so I rarely mix with them. Our company has 1 flavor that may contain trace amounts of diacetyls and it is listed on the flavor S.S. and it is the wifes favorite all day vape.


We started with MyFreedomSmokes when we were first into mixing. The Nicotine is and was amazing and the PG was a bit thicker than others and sweeter so never a need to add sweeteners.

Always start by mixing a small batch, a 30ml bottle maximum at 3mg nicotine. This way you do not waste flavors, pg, vg and nicotine if you make a fail juice. I have made a lot of fail juices. Back to steeping, Voodoo was a fail juice and I revisited it a month later and it is a huge hit now so not all of your fails will truly be fails, let them steep.
